From mirrorless cameras to image manipulation, everything we know has the potential to be wiped out and replaced by new technology and techniques.
The ‘purist’ photographer is now seen as an indulgent artist who creates images using film only for ‘the love of film’
No one can argue that digital has far exceeded our expectations and has the ability to blow our minds with what can be achieved.
The more I see this, the more I am intrigued by what’s possible in digital photography.
I find my personal work moving in the direction of teasing the mind, to challenge one’s perception of whats ‘real’ and what’s digitally created.
This series of fine art stills is a study of colour, shapes and shadows and tip-toes into the realm of digital art, while reinforcing the fundamentals of photography and lighting.
