State of Flux

2015 was a rollercoaster of a year filled with uncertainty, fear, doubt, discovery, love, joy, exhilaration and so many more emotions that came at me all at once and knocked the wind out of me!

Moving to the other side of the world (from Mumbai to Toronto- a mere 12,500kms) away from your comfort zone and everything you’ve ever known can be very exciting.
I consider myself a global citizen-just as ready to conquer the world from the northern hemisphere as I am from closer to the equator, but all that went out the (airplane) window once I took off.

I suddenly remembered a quote by Ramana Maharshi that I had read a long time ago. Funny how the mind/ consciousness/ universe presents you with what you need just when you need it.

“Let come what comes, let go what goes. See what remains.”
Ramana Maharshi

I even found a uniquely satisfying (and oddly calming) creative expression to aptly describe my ‘state of flux’-

Nothing quite like watching jellyfish just jellyfishin’.
