Stuck in a moment

I suppose every young person attempting to break out of the mould and do something different feels the same- Vulnerable, scared to death and fragile.
Nothing you do is ever up to the mark and no matter how hard you try you don’t feel like you’re moving forward.

It is my firm opinion that the age of 23 is the most stressful and taxing age of your life.
You’re on the cusp of adulthood. Some would (very wrongly) say that you’re already an adult but the fact is that if something goes wrong, you always have mummy and daddy to run to.
But now you realise that’s not going to last forever and sooner or later you’ll have no one to give you a cuddle when you bruise your knee, heart or ego.
You’re on your own now.
And you either make it.
Or you don’t.
——-
You’ve got to get yourself together,
You’ve got stuck in a moment, and you can’t get out of it.
Don’t say that later will be better,
Now you’re stuck in a moment
And you can’t get out of it..
